1901 Aged 25, builders clark from Liverpool living at 36 Melton Street, Shelton nr Hanley with his wife Mary 26 and daughter Elsie aged 1. Also present are his mother in law Elizabeth Cooper aged 56 ‎(born Newcastle)‎ and brother in law Daniel aged 20 an Iron worker born in Goldenhill. RG13/2607/57 p29

1911 they are living at 23 Albany Road Stoke on Trent. He is 33, born Liverpool, and now a grocer’s manager for a wholesale grocer. Mary is also 33 and they have three children. Elsie, Arthur and Mabel.

The family account of a Cooper family with whom Job lost touch and who lived in a large house in Penkhul may well be this family. Albany Road is in the right area and there were two daughters which fits the family account. The information about Martha, if indeed she did marry James Twemlow, doesn’t fit so well.
