1851 Living at Dilhorne with her daughter Elizabeth, 24. Still gives status as married but Samuel isn’t present. Employed as domestic. ELizabeth is an unmarried dress maker. HO107/2007/333 p8

1861 Aged 55, widowed, Living in Dilhorne Road as house servant of John Chell(?), 50 (58?), Clergyman of parish without?. RG9/1992/18 p2

1871 Aged 65, still house servant for John Chell, 68, Clergyman. Living next door to Thomas Mosely, 48, butcher and farmer of 50 acres. Too old to be her son, could he be her brother in law. Also with Thomas Mosely, John Harvey 66, servant on th e land, born Cheadle. Is John a relative of Lydia (brother or cousin?) RG10/2888/ p2.

1881, Now 75, still the housekeeper of John Chell, 78 now a retired clergyman in Dilhorne. Also with them another domestic servant Mary Nutt, 14 from Stoke on Trent. Living next door at the Lodge, is a Samuel Mosely, 44, is he her son (a few year s too young - would have expected 50), a Coachman with his wife Ellen, 54 from Biddulph and their daughter Agnes, 15 born Dilhorne. The reverend John Chell of Dilhorne died on 9 January 1882 aged 79 years (grave stone in the Dilhorne church yard).
